Pohjantähti Mutual Insurance Company is a Finnish non-life insurance company, founded in 1895 and owned by its customers. Pohjantähti operates at 45 districts from Helsinki to Kittilä and the head office is located in Hämeenlinna.

Pohjantähti services both the private household and agricultural sectors as well as the business sectors in all insurance affairs. In the statutory pension insurance affairs our partner is Ilmarinen Mutual Pension Insurance Company, of which an associate Pohjantähti is. We also sell voluntary life, savings and pension insurance policies underwritten by OP Life Assurance Company Limited.

Pohjantähti employed an average 309 persons in 2008. The premium income was 77 MEUR. Year 2009 has started well and the estimation of the premium income exceeds 81 MEUR.
